Based in California and led by Brian Cearnal, AIA, LEED AP, and Joe Andrulaitis, AIA, LEED BD+C, this award-winning firm is a fun place with a work hard, play hard mentality. They even have an office dog! Throughout this short video, the partners explain how they work within Santa Barbara’s strict guidelines, which require a Spanish Colonial-type architecture in and around the downtown area, to achieve success and create some stunning projects in the process. Their innovative and sustainable solutions not only meet their clients’ aesthetic, budgetary, and program objectives, but they also are based on a workflow that has evolved from 2D to 3D with BIM. It’s a methodology that they’ve applied to the design and construction of their buildings, which puts them on the cutting edge of how many firms choose to do architecture today. When you’re done watching the video, read more about the firm and some of its recent work here.
